“He thinks the sun shines out of his Dad’s arse, then he goes to look for him and finds that it doesn’t”

My Mum’s summary of Barack Obama’s autobiography.

When posts collide…

The Big Cat is now asleep on top of the seed tray.

An Experiment…

Experiment: last year, most of my seedlings were eaten by slugs or mice.  The sweet peas I planted last autumn in a cold frame have already been chomped.

SO.

I’ve had an idea: pretty well the only mouse-free, slug-free environment I can think of is the car. It’s a hatchback with a big flat back that gets pretty hot in the daytime, so I’ve planted my seeds and put the trays in there. Will it work, or will the movement and vibration do for them? Or will the cat get in there to sleep – as he usually does – and shit in them while he’s at it?

WE SHALL SEE.

Big Cat

The cat keeps sitting on the keyboard. It has somehow manage to reconfigure the pound sign as a hash with his arse. And just deleted most of the last sentence by sitting on the mouse, which is a new one. He was an emaciated stray when he turned up on our doorstep (literally). Now he’s minus his bollocks and weighs 9 kg.
